I downloaded Elex 2 and was super stoked to join the Clerics/Albs. Just beat Elex 1 yesterday morning, completed as Clerics. Basically beyond their main town there is nothing else unlike E1. As a melee build I joined Morkons for the reason of having "rites" which work well with it and a neat armor design.īeyond that I have to agree that for some reason the scale is not here anymore.Īll factions are stagnant and smaller than they were before. I have joined Clerics for resistance from purple aliens and Energy weapons, the old armor design is still nice, while "rebel" armor looks like crap. There's not really a faction I could join and get the same feeling that it's a community I belong to as in PB's previous games. No more mind control, faith in Calaan, just two skills. No way to become Elexetor and underwhelming energy weapons means they got nothing going for them.Ĭlerics - another shadow of the former selves, it's a rag-tag bunch of bums who loot corpses and recruit anyone to survive. Morkons - between the edgelord vibe and awful base design, I'm actively staying away from those as much as possible.Īlbs - there could be so much done with this faction based on the first game's lore. Instead of focusing on profit, they're now Illuminati that want to manipulate other factions behind the scenes. Their motives also no longer make any sense. Outlaws - there's nothing to join per se, it's a bunch of disparate gangs and a single NPC you can interact with after you join. Went from saving the planet to basically an empire that assimilates others. Every faction feels like a parody of it former self after the first game.īerserkers - their merge with Outlaws is comical, Rat as Warlord is a joke, and Berserker magic is so good that Caja and Halla are the only ones who ever bother with it.
